error opening pdf in sharepoint 2016

We have a MS Sharepoint 2016 enviroment running with https-protocol. A few day ago I installed March 2017 Patches on the farm. Now I'm not able to open PDF-Files from a Document Library in Sharepoint. Before patching there where no problems. The error message of Reader XI:
in German: Beim Öffnen dieses Dokuments ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. Die Syntax für den Dateinamen, Verzeichnisnamen oder die Datenträgerbezeichnung ist falsch
in english: Opening this document, an error has occurred. The syntax for the file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
There are no problems opening the same document(s) via URL (https://<server>/<path>/d...)
When I disable the Acrobat SharePoint Add-On the Reader will work like a charm.
Has anybody any idea? Thanks a lot!

    Hi marioz111175,

Launch Reader > Edit>Preference > Security enhanced. Whitelist the Sharepoint path.

If the above doesn't help you may go to Security enhanced preference you may try to turn off the "Protected View" and uncheck "Protected mode". This is just for troubleshooting purposes, we don't recommend to turning off protected view or mode. If this resolves your issue you may visit Protected Mode troubleshooting | Adobe Reader

Let us know if that helps.
