Acrobat Reader Beach balling on Mac

A few seconds after I open Acrobat Reader it beachballs (spinning multicoloured circle). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but still happening. Help!

Please confirm if the application is working fine now.

If not, please try to remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html).

Reboot the Mac and reinstall the application from this page: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/.

It seems I had to download Creative Cloud to make it work now
