Acrobat reader crash while zooming or changing tabs in full screen mode

Hi everyone,

I’m using Acrobat Reader on macOS, and I’ve been encountering a recurring issue. When I zoom with the trackpad or switch to another tab (another file) in full-screen mode, Acrobat Reader crashes and closes. To reopen it, I have to click on the Acrobat Reader icon in the toolbar at the bottom, where thankfully all files remain open at the last page viewed.

I've tried adjusting settings, like unchecking "Smooth Display" in the Page Display settings, but it hasn’t resolved the issue.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to fix this? Thanks.

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/3F9lx6t.

Let us know if the app still crashes with the latest app while zooming or changing tabs under full screen mode.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
