Acrobat Reader crashes while reading certain files.  I save to another filename and try to reopen file, but it keeps crashing.  I can no longer access the files.  Any tips would be appreciated.

    Hi khaledm83278401,

Firstly, check if you have any pending updates, to check Launch Reader>Help>Check for updates.

Also, try repairing Reader, to repair Launch Reader>Help>Repair installation. Restart your machine and try again.

If above doesn't help, Launch Reader > Edit > Preferences > Security(Enhanced). Try turning off Protected Mode. Disabling protected mode is not recommended, we are doing it for testing purposes only

Also, try to whitelist the files and let me know if that helps any.

    Hi Khaledm83278401,

I assume you are working on Windows computer? You may refer to the help document Resolve Acrobat DC intermittent crashes on Windows and follow the instruction to reset the Acrobat preferences.

If its Mac, then reset the preferences through following steps- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

Let us know if the solution doesn't work.

    Regards,
