Acrobat Reader Date Picker

Is there a change in the latest version of Adobe Reader with the build-in datepicker? In the way it returns the value?

In our case we have an XFA form and when the user pick a date in an older version of reader and Acobat it works as expected (this was working up to a couple of months ago). Suddenly this is no longer working for customers using the latest reader.

Attached a form with 1 date field. Once exit the field the "util.scand" is used to convert the value to a date. If you use an older reader the result is a proper date. The newer version of  Readers will return "null" ie the date is invalid.
