Acrobat Reader DC 64 bit prints inverted

My 32-bit version of Acrobat Reader DC (Windows 10) was recently auto-dated to the 64-bit version. After the update, PDFs are printing inverted (white text on black background) on an HP LaserJet printer using its PCL6 driver. Only solution I could find was to change to using the Postscript driver for the printer - no amount of changing and deleting user preferences in Registry fixed the problem.

Correct answer nigeld

I have now installed the printer using the latest (v7.0.0) PCL6 Universal Printer Driver from HP and that seems to have fixed the problem. I was previously using the printer-specific PCL6 printer driver (and that is still reverse-printing), so maybe there is somethign different between the Universal Printer Driver and the device-specific driver. It's an HP LaserJet Pro M451 printer.

Anyway, problem fixed.

Hi There,

Thanks for reporting the issue here.

Can we try to remove the PCL6 driver and re-install the latest (or same) back. As we tried the similar workflow in-house but observed no such issue.

Please feel free to let us know, regarding the status of the issue or any other help required from our end.

Regards,
Swapnil Srivastava
