Acrobat Reader DC hangs not responding when trying to print

Adobe Reader DC hangs is not responding when clicking the print button on the tool bar or from File - Print, dont even get the print dialogue box to attempt to change the printer or select properties to change any advanced settings like print as image, the only option is to close the app where I get a Adobe is not responding message where i get teh option to close the program or wait for it to respond.

Have tried updating, uninstalling, reinstalling, running as administrator, using the Acrobat cleaner tool, turning off enhanced security mode, created a new Windows user profile, event logs show nothing other than the obvious the reader has had an application hang.

Have tried multiple PDF's all with the same result.

Opening PDF's with Chrome or some other reader works fine

Windows OS version is: Windows 8.1 Pro x64 Build 6.3.9600

Acrobat Reader DC version: 20.12.20041.394260

I have checked that version is supposed to be compatible tith W8.1

Spent a lot of time and reboots on trying to get this app to work.

Please help!

Thanks
