acrobat reader dc not opening

I downloaded Acrobat Reader DC a few weeks ago and today it won't open. I did see some posts to uninstall and reinstall the program. I am not very computer literate, so a very naive question.  If I try this, will I lose the PDFs that I have saved (most are saved to thumb drive but some on hard drive)

    Thanks for reaching out. As mentioned, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not opening, correct?

     

    Is the application not opening entirely or is it creating issues while opening some of the PDFs?

     

    If it is not opening entirely, you may try the following steps

     

     

    Once the application is reinstalled, the PDFs would be available for your use.
