ACROBAT READER DC on Mac

I realized that I did not post this as a question.

I am filling out forms that require me to validate the forms which puts a bar code on the forms.  DC will not print the barcodes.  The recommendation is for me to download Acrobat Reader XI but every time I try it takes me back to DC. 

I really need to complete these forms ASAP.  What do I do?
