Acrobat Reader DC opening automaticly after restart - Mac OS

Acrobat Reader DC keeps opening briefly about 2 minutes after restarting my Mac (OS 10.13). Is there a way to stop this annoying and suspicious activty? I prefer to decide my self if and when to update - if this is an automatic update check.

    Acrobat Reader doesn't need to start up to check for updates. This happens in the background.
