Is there any way to let the computer read to me since I do not have good eyesight? I am using Acrobat Reader DC. I need a PDF file read to me. Thanks for your help. Bev

This must be a scanned image. Nothing I can do now right?

Can you use the select tool to select an individual word or sentence in the document?

    Hi Bdgarrison,

Yes, absolutely this is possible to do by enabling the "Read Out Loud" functionality of Adobe Reader DC application.

For that you can may Open Reader> View> Read Out Loud> Enable "Read Out Loud"

And View > Read Out Load > Read To End of Document which would read the entire document for you.

But as ~graffiti mentioned above, that its only possible if the document isn't a scanned document which contains only image not the real text. Because Adobe Reader DC doesn't  have the capabilities to run OCR (optical character recognition).

    Hope this answers your query.

    Regards,

If the file is not a scanned image (just an image of text) you can use View>Read out loud.
