Question

Acrobat Reader DC won't open as usual, but if I select Full Screen Mode the document then becomes visible

Hi,  I am using Acrobat Reader DC on a MacBook pro and it has been working absolutely fine up to and including last night.  Today when I double click to open the app nothing happens, similar if I double click on a PDF to open if but if I then go to View and select Full Screen mode the PDF becomes visible.  I have tried uninstalling it by just dragging from Applications to Trash and reinstalling but same problem.  Looking on the FAQ for how to uninstall it properly, there is only a Mac option for if you have Creative Cloud installed which I don't so the creative cloud icon does not appear in my tool bar at the top.   I have tried to follow another forum link for resetting preferences but the files it suggested dragging to your desktop I could not find in the suggested location on my Mac.

I am desperate - any help please????????

Thank you!  This totally helped.  I changed my display preferences to more space.  I noticed some strange pixels at the bottom clicked it and then was able to maximize and size it to scale.  Reset monitor and was good to go.  Thanks again.   I never would have figured that out.

I had the same problem on a MacBook.  Did the recommended preferences reset, didn't work.  Did uninstall/reinstall, didn't work.  Was waiting to chat with support when I noticed that my mouse was able to drift out of sight at bottom of my screen, as if screen was extended below my viewable area.  I clicked and dragged from bottom right corner, and up came a window.  Then went to window menu, where I could see the names of several windows that were supposedly open, but unseen.  I selected "tile" all windows, and voila, they all appeared.  Don't know what happened to cause them to go into extended area below viewing area.  It seems that acrobat must have caused that to happen.

Hi there - ah, you are a total star, that has sorted the problem for me!!!!!  I didn't have the cursor disappearing off thing, but by playing with the Window menu and Tile settings I was able to get the window appearing back in the viewable area on my MacBook.  Thank you so much, super-helpful! :-)
