Acrobat Reader doesn't open

I keep on getting error message " Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server".

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, checked the registry, switched off the security, but still no ability to open the reader. Other pdf software will open files OK.

    If you are still experiencing the trouble you may please refer to the troubleshooting steps suggested in the help document here: Fatal error - Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server

    Also, try the suggestion given in Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server (Installation & updates) open Acrobat>Help>Repair Installation.
