Acrobat reader - doesn't open new files clicking the file through association/OLE while it's opened

Hi all,

this is irritating me already a decade or more,  still failing in all new versions and all never windows OS, incl. W11. If you are opening PDF files by clicking on them in file browser, first files are opened without issues, than it hangs and no other file is opening, it is hanged in the system I believe though system OLE, in acrobat executable as it is only the app having issue with this.
The only solution is to close the reader - including all already opened files from various places which is very nasty. Why should I close all files I'm working with just to see the next one?

Do you have the same experience, any hints?
