Question

Acrobat Reader - enter data into form - data won't resize and number out of range/MAC OS issue

Hi there,

I am experiencing two issues in one: I am trying to fill in a form on Mac OS (usually doing this from Windows at work) and when I go over the allotted space it usually resizes the entered data to accommodate the additional words. However, this time it won't recognize my additional data and gives me a "number out of range" error message.

I already changed the viewing preferences in Adobe Reader but the issue continues. I have entered data in this document many times in the past (it is a grant application form which has not changed in three years), but this is the first time I am using a Mac to enter the data.

Thanks!

  • Is this a behavior with a particular PDF form or with all the PDF forms you try to fill?
  • Are you the creator or author of the form or have you got the form from a different user?

Also, please share the PDF form with us via private message for testing. Click on the message icon on the top right corner of the screen to start the private message.
