Acrobat Reader ? FREE?

Is there a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader that can be installed and used for free. I have subscribed to the Photography package for several years and thought that I had a version of Acrobat but mine quit working and now all I can seem to find are paid versions. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, Acrobat Reader is still free. “Acrobat” alone, confusingly, always means the paid-for product. So, if you had Acrobat, then Acrobat Reader won’t be much of a replacement. Anyway, free Reader here - http://get.adobe.com/reader

I had Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 but now it has a circle with a slash through it when I go to my applications folder and try to launch it. From some of the stuff that I have read it seems as though it is not copatible with the new iOS update.

That's correct. Acrobat 8 is an extremely old version, not compatible with any current OS, especially not on Apple computers. You need to get a new license for Acrobat DC or Acrobat Pro 2017 for that. The former is a subscription, the latter is a so-called "perpetual" license.
