acrobat reader not working properly

I have a MacBook Air and have had for maybe 7 days.

I downloaded a fillable form.  I entered information in the fillable areas.  I saved document.  I opened with "Preview".  I tried printing but it only prints the form not the information I filled in.

The saved full document with fillable information on the form I opened with once the Acrobat Reader (default) not Safari or Preview and it opened it up the form in Acrobat Reader but did not show the information I added.

Help please.  Been trying to figure it out for 4 or 5 days.
