Question

Acrobat Reader on server, can I use it? Is there any cost, should I be careful license-wise ?

Could you please assist us on clarifying the server side usage of Acrobat Reader?

The licensing details aren't clear to us.

So the overall goal is to run Adobe Reader on a server, and according to the online available license terms is it correct and safe to assume that it is free to install and distribute adobe reader on servers environments? (by the way, which binary should we use) ?

Can you please advise and assist us on clarifying which restrictions we must take into consideration so that we can be compliant on it’s usage from the get go?

Many thanks in advance for your reply.

The agreement you linked to https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/content/dam/cc/en/legal/documents/Adobe-2021-UPDATE-Reader-Runtime-Distribution-License-20210210-en_US.pdf is ONLY applicable as part of a distribution agreement. It says this at the very start.

Hi Bernardo,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble and the delay in response.

Are you trying to deploy the application in your organization? If yes, please checkout the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/faq.html and check the enterprise deployment section.

Hope it will help

Many thanks for your reply.

Can you please redirect me to who can I request in Portugal to apply for a Distribution License Agreement for Corporations and organizations that want to distribute Acrobat Reader or the Acrobat Reader mobile app on a company intranet site or local network?

Cheers,

Bernardo
