Acrobat Reader "Out of Memory"
The last couple of versions of Acrobat Reader for the Mac have been having multiple "Out of Memory" problems. Sometimes, files don't load, sometimes a file will load but after reading a couple of pages the error will appear, and sometimes the error appears when doing a search.
The last "working" version I have was 11.0.22 downloaded which according to system information was from September 10, 2017. There were one or two "patches" since then, both versions fail. When they've failed, I've checked the amount of free memory on the system which has been 1-2GB - more than enough memory. I would run the backup version (the last "working" version) and it would run just fine - no memory problems. But, if I exit and then load a more "recent" version, it will crash again. So something is clearly wrong with the latest version of Acrobat Reader.
FWIW, my Mac is running MacOS 10.11.6 and it has 16GB of memory. And, after testing, I can eliminate cache, memory, or user environment since I can get it to fail on a new user account with 14GB memory free.
As I said, everything works fine with the older version of Acrobat Reader, but not the recent "patched" versions of Acrobat Reader 11.0.22.
I hope someone from Adobe reads this. I'm not interested in responses from anyone else.
