Acrobat Reader v25.001.20630 freezes when trying to Quit

After updating to the latest version of Acrobat Reader (v25.001.20630) it freezes when trying to Quit, resulting in having for Force Quit the app.  I'm running masOS Sequoia v15.6 (24G84) on a M4 Mac Mini.  Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?  Thanks.

Hi Souvik,

 

Although the "Open PDFs from last session on Acrobat Launch" was unchecked in my Preferences, apperently just opening and closing the Preferences dialog fixed the problem.  I can now quit the app with and without files open.  I'll report back if the issued reappear.

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader freezing.

 

Do you see this issue every time? For instance, if you quit the application with no PDF files open, does it still freeze, or only if you have any files live?

 

Also, can you try this:

Go to Acrobat > Preferences > General > uncheck "Open PDFs from last session on Acrobat Launch" > then quit Acrobat.

Hi Souvik,

 

I'm doing well.  Thank you for asking.  I hope you are well too. 

 

I'm not at my home computer at this time, so I won't be able to try your suggestions until later this evening.  I did want to let you know that the app does freeze every time I try to quit, with or without files open.

 

I'll post again after trying your suggestions.
