I've just bought a new MacBook Pro, updated the OS, it's running macOS Monterey 12.5, when I try to launch or open a PDF file nothing happens, I've signed into Acrobat, shut down and restarted, still nothing.  Please help.

Hi Janine,

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

Looking at the description above, it seems like the application doesn't launch either with PDF or without it.

If this is the case, then we'd suggest a couple of steps try:

1- Open Activity Monitor, select all the Acrobat processes running in the background and Quit.

2- Try launching the application now. If it still doesn't work, then run this cleaner tool the removal the app and its old traces: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Once done, download the Reader DC from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/get-started.html

Let us know if that helps!

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thanks Akanchha

It’s all sorted now.  I actually uninstalled the software and reinstalled and that fixed it.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
