Acrobat Reader won't open on Mac and keeps crashing

My Adobe Acrobat Reader DC kept crashing so I decided to update my OS on Mac (to Catalina), uninstall Adobe, reinstalled it - and it just keeps crashing. So I deleted it and then used this tool to clean it - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html#known-issues

And then reinstalled it only to have it continue to not work. Any ideas of what I can do to get it operating on my Mac again?!
