AcroRd32.exe Not closing on Xenapp Terminal Server

We have a server 2016 terminal server running Xenapp 7.15 LTSR and an issue we seem to be having is adobe acrobat reader pinning the CPU. I wait for an email alert from vmware stating the server has high CPU usage and sure enough it's the adobe process. I have to manually close them everytime and the user does not have the reader application open. I've tried disabling the welcome messages with registry keys and a couple other fixes to no avail.

This is the version of adobe we're running:

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 18.011.20038

If you have any other suggestions to fix this issue, i'd be very grateful as this is a big headache for us at the moment.

Thanks,
