Does anyone know if there is a newer supported version of acroread-5.0.10-1.0 for Linux?

Linux support ended many years so there is no supported version. I suspect the version number you quote isn’t the Acrobat Reader version, that would be 20 years old. Check the About screen. The final version was 9.x.
