Question

add text vs. fillable form fields

i am using adobe reader 11.0.10 on a mac running os 10.11.6. i have a pdf form with some fillable form fields and some fields that are not fillable form fields. at one point i used the fill & sign tools to add text manually to a field that i thought was not a fillable form field. now, however, i've realized that the field i thought was not a fillable form field actually is, so i want to remove the text that i added manually. but whenever i hover my mouse over the manually added text it only detects the fillable form field and I am not able to select my manually added text and delete it. any suggestions on how to do this? much thanks.

Your manually added text is a comment. You should be able to select and then remove it using the Comment panel.
