When I attempt to download Adobe Reader, I get a drop down that says I need Administrative privilege to get this app.  Just what is an Administrative Privilege, and how do I get it?

If you lose your password I think you might be able to reset it without having to wipe the computer and start again, but it’s best to consult an expert in person.

In a normal system, you are asked for your administration password, which you chose when you first switched on the machine.

If the system was set up by your employer for you, they probably blocked you from installing any software and you need to contact IT support.

If it is your own computer, and you know the password, and you are not asked for it, this is unusual and shows a problem with the machine setup. Are you able to install other software or is this the first you have tried recently?

This is my personal computer, so I presume it's my "set up" that's causing

the problem as you suggested. I have installed other software, tho not

recently, without problems. How do I go about resetting?
