Adobe Acrobat DC Freezing on Save

I'm facing a frustrating issue with Adobe Acrobat DC. Whenever I try to save a document after making edits, the application freezes completely. I've tried saving in different formats (PDF, Word), but the outcome is always the same.

I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Restarting Acrobat DC: This temporarily fixes the issue, but it happens again after a few saves.
  • Checking for Updates: My Acrobat DC is up-to-date.
  • Disabling Add-ons: I've disabled all third-party add-ons, but the problem persists.

My system specifications are:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (latest update)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9750H
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Acrobat DC Version: [Insert your Acrobat DC version]

I'm using Acrobat DC primarily for editing and converting PDF documents. This freezing issue is significantly impacting my workflow. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going through this problem right now. Were you able to fix it?

Hi michael_6995,

Sorry for the delay in response.

Assuming the issue might have been resolved now. If the problem still occurs, ensure that you have updated the application to the latest version. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates. For more information on recent updates, refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4i6xdq1

Try the troubleshooting steps suggested above. If the issue persists, please follow the steps at https://adobe.ly/4ipwkcF to collect the logs and share the log ID.

Feel free to let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Hi waseem_0721,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html

You may try reinstalling the application using the following steps:

-Reboot the machine
-Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

If the issue still occurs, please share the process logs using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-diagnostics.html.

Share the Acrobat version number.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
