Adobe Acrobat is updating to Standard automatically

I have a client with an application that uses reader like many others.

For the past week we have been reinstalling Reader on a daily basis because somehow the reader is being updated to Acrobat Standard. After this "update" it will not run and the application they use on a daily basis will not work!!!

I have tried installing the latest version and disableing the update service.

Please help!!!
