adobe acrobat reader cloud bugs
The irs, more specifically healthcare.gov, where the irs directs you, required me to download a form for a healthcare exemption. This form could only be opened with Adobe Acrobact Reader DC. This program does not run on all systems, it's quite picky. For example it will run on XP, not Vista. So I updated to Windows 7, $ I don't have. It was then a pain to get AARDC to download. It never did. After a dozen attempts I had to locate the folder containing the file and manually install. If you finally have success, you must fill out the form on screen and print, you are not allowed to print then fill it out (a IRS/Healthcare.gov issue, not Adobe, but this is fyi).
AARDC app is not working. I tried to use the send option to email the pdf to myself and the window just disappears. I tried to sign in to my Adobe account and that option just disappears when I choose it. Every option in the app disappears--goes nowhere. This program is very buggy, as many seem to agree online. Unfortunately, the GOV is requiring you use it for these exemption forms and I don't know what else, so beware! Libraries do no always have these latest apps/updates, and folks relying on public access PCs may be out of luck--exactly the ppl who need to be filing these forms and who may not have a personal PC or access to a friend's or family member's.
Shame on Adobe! You need to get it together if you're the sole program the irs/healtcare.gov is relying on for people to use for required forms/documentation.
