adobe acrobat reader could not open pdf file because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged ( for example, it was send as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

    Thank you kglad!

Btw...and msg to Ei...I persumed I was logged into onedive bc I always use outlook and ms365, but I logged in thru onedrive.live.com and searched for the PDFs, (which are now curropted on my desk top), and was able to open them via the onedrive. This is going to be a royal pain bc I refer to my desk top PDFs a lot but at least I now have access to them. I really hope Adobe and MS get this issue sorted. I read yesterday it's bc Adode added a new security feature which leads me to think anything saved to desktop is currently obsolete.

I am having the exact same issue. I read ( on a post I now can't find) that it may have something to do with Onedrive but I still cannot resolve the issue.

Sorry I'm piggy backing on your post but I hope someone from Adode will repond.
