Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes on Esc key

Hi All,

 

I am usin Windows 10

I used to be able to close Full screen mode of Adobe Acrobat Reader, but lately it make it seem like the software shuts off it even disappeares from the taskbar but it keeps running in the task manage.

Although I can shut it in task manager it seems it's still running in the background as every time I try to resave my file it says 'I cannot because the file is already open'.
And it is kind of visible in a full screen mode on my screen but it is not running in task manager it has no thumbnail on the task bar and I just cannot close it.

 

I have to restart the entire computer every time.

What is happening? How can this be fixed?

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/4gZmdc6.

If the app still crashes, please collect the Crash logs from the affected machine and share them with us for further investigation.
