Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.020.20039 (Not responding) I have
already used the Cleaner uninstalled and reinstalled. I have cleared the
checkmark for Enable Protected Mode at Startup. Prior to that I tried a system
restore, none of these have resolved the issue. The user is on a Dell Latitude
E7450 using Windows 8.1. I am running out of options. The user was able to
access his pdf files 2 days ago.

Hi Paulhg11005754,

Thanks for sharing the workflow.

Could you please try resting the preferences of the Acrobat Reader DC? and see if that makes a difference.

In order to reset the preferences please follow the steps mentioned below-

  • Quit Acrobat.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the Preferences folder:
    • (Windows 7 or higher) C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\[version]
  • Move the Preferences folder to another location (for example, C:\Temp).
  • Restart Acrobat.

Let us know if that doesn't work.

Regards,

Akanchha
