Running Mac os high sierra 10.13.2 on a late 2015 iMac

Acrobat Reader DC has been reinstalled 2018.009.2005 and appears to be correctly installed ( eg I can look at preferences and it recognises that I have opened a pdf) but it does not actually show the pdf

Any help to resolve greatly appreciated

    I solved my own problem

    my user account was corrupt

so I created a new user who could open PDFs with acrobat reader dc and then deleted the older corrupt user account

    Hello!

I'm having a problem with Acrobat, but it's somewhat different. Acrobat DC Pro (2018.008.20080) opens and displays files, but click on the frame of the toolbar to the right to minimize it, or indeed click on any of the tools — print preview, say, or create a form — and the application crashes. Uninstalling/reinstalling via CC does not work. I'm running Mac OSX 10.13.6. Application always opens with the right-hand toolbar open.

    Many thanks for any help,

    Brian
