Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will not open my files when I click on them. Clicking does nothing. When I open the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC app and click on browse, find the file and click on it, the app crashes every time and says Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Has Stopped Working. I have never had this happen in the past and now I CANNOT open any of my files. I have tried everything all day today.

    Hi seand42497522,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are unable to open any pdf file in Acrobat Reader, is that correct?

Assuming you have Windows installed on the machine, try troubleshooting steps mentioned below:

1- Launch reader as an administrator, locate Reader DC shortcut on the desktop>right click>select Run as administrator.

2- If you have Windows 10 installed on the machine, try changing compatibility settings for Reader DC,

under Reader DC shortcut>right click>Properties>Compatibility >Compatibility mode>check the box which says Run this program in compatibility mode for, and select Windows8/7 from the drop down options>Apply>OK.

3- If that doesn't work, go to control panel>Programs and Features>locate Reader DC

       Right-click>Change>Repair Installation.....

Reboot the machine and try again.

Which operating system is installed on the machine-Mac/Windows?

Keep us posted with the results.
