Adobe Acrobat Reader DC not responding - previous solution does not work

I'm a Windows 10 user. Today when I lunched the application it didn't not respond, tried with different pdfs and just start the app, none of these worked.

Did some research and:

1.- I removed the Preferences folder to the desktop. Still Adobe is not responding.

2.- Tried to lunch the application and change preferences, but as it is not responding I can't.

Could you please help me?

Thanks

Hi Susanas57109569,

Thanks for sharing the troubleshooting steps.

Have you checked the latest update whether that's installed or not?

We have released an update today that fixes the crash issue. This update will be automatically applied to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader DC. You can also open Acrobat or Reader DC and visit Help > Check for updates to make sure you are on the latest patch.

Details about the release: Acrobat Help | Release notes | Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC | Update

As mentioned above, if resetting the preferences didn't help you, then you might need to uninstall the application and reinstall it.

Use cleaner tool to uninstall the existing software- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

And re-download it through-Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Let us know if that doesn't help.

Regards,

Akanchha
