Adobe Acrobat Reader window goes black

Hello-

I am running Adobe reader version 2021.007.20099 on an iMac running OS Catalina 10.15.7.

It worked fine for a long time, but only recently when I am filling out a PDF about every 15 minutes, the window will go completely black (the rest of the screen is fine) for about 3-5 seconds and then come back.  No data is lost, the form looks the same as it did before it disappeared.

 

Has anyone else seen this?

Hi @Jeff-n-Kabul ,

 

What you have explained above, it sounds like all of the sudden you have started experiencing the problem with this specific form.

Not sure what exactly went wrong, but we can try couple of things to get the root cause of the problem-

 

  1. Where exactly you have saved the document? Is it possible to save a new copy of same file and reopen it?
  2. Check with another file if the same happens with that?
  3. Check the Acrobat Reader's updates, Launch Acrobat Reader>Help>Check for update and install the latest Patch.
