Adobe Acrobat - Turn off default double sided printing

I see all previous threads regarding this have provided no solutions. 

How do I turn off default double sided printing for Adobe Acrobat.

No - it is not a printer configuration. 

No - the option to turn off double sided does not come up in the print settings dialogue.
