I recently installed recommended updates to Windows 10. After that all my jpg files are shown as Adobe pdf files. Adobe Reader DC doesn't recognize them and can't open them.
I uninstalled Adobe Reader and all those files returned to jpg, just like they should be. When I reinstalled Adobe Reader DC the files all converted back to pdf files again and can't be opened. Please help with a solution.

As explained above, it seems like the Adobe Reader DC has been set as a default application to open all the documents on your computer.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the application is not going to help in this scenario.
Right click on any random .jpg select Open With> Choose another App (through which you want to open the file).
Select the check box "Always use this app to open the .jpg file" >OK
All of your .jpg files will start opening in jpg supported application.
