Question

adobe comments and scrolling

Since the latest update whenever I try to comment, it automatically selects the first penstroke I've made. For example, if I write 25, it automatically selects the 2 and puts a blue box around it. Can I get it to stop doing this? I'm tired of having to click "undo" or "deselect all."

Also, am I able to change the settings so it allows me to "enable scrolling" all the time or do I have to click this every time I open a new document?

Thanks!

    Hi Jstuart,

We are sorry for the delay in addressing your query.

Have you recently installed the Adobe Reader update? If not, then you may try installing the latest update and see if that makes any difference- Open Reader>Help>Check for update

DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

As mentioned that if I write 25, it automatically selects the 2 and puts a blue box around it. Can we have the sample file for this to test at our end?

Also, am I able to change the settings so it allows me to "enable scrolling" all the time or do I have to click this every time I open a new document?

You should be able to change the "Page Display" settings by changing the application's preferences. Open Acrobat >Edit>Preference >Page Display>Page Layout >Single Page Continuous.

Here is a sample file that I am trying to comment on.

    1. When I write (with the pen tool) 25 it selects the 2 and puts a box

    around it.

    2. After writing 25 if I wanted to write 12 in a different color. But after

writing 25 (with the pen tool) if I try to change the pen color it also

changes the 25 to the new color.

    3. I have to "enable scrolling" on every pdf I open. It would be nice if I

could make this my default setting.

This wasn't happening before the new update the day before my inquiry. (It

has since been updated again (last week) but these issues are still

    happening.)
