Adobe Error- If it is running....

 I have full paid version of Adobe Pro DC -- I have 1 app that requires use of Internet explorer and it uses ADOBE reader to open files in the browser- about once a day Adobe updates and I get the following error There is a problem with Adobe reader if it is running-- I have to uninstall reader reinstal and then it works for a bit- is there some way around the uninstalling and reinstalling?

Which is the "Adobe" that updates daily? How do you know it updates? Why do you need both apps?

I would gladly just use Pro but without reader installed IE will not open the form- 

I think it is either the reader or the ADOBE Genunine that updates and  messes stuff up
