Adobe had to be reinstalled

I received a pop message saying Adobe had to be reinstalled I did not get why it was gone be for I could read it . what is going on

    Hi Rogerh159506,

    Which Adobe application you are referring to? is it Adobe Reader or Acrobat ?

    Could be a possibility the existing version of the application has been corrupted or any file might be damaged.

    you may run the cleaner tool to remove the app Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

    and reinstall it through Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
