Question

Adobe not prompting for print

Hi,

I have a question about maybe a possible update that may be causing us an issue.  Our company has a web based application they use.  When they chose to print the record in the web application it opens a PDF and Adobe prompts them asking if they want to print the document.  They say no to the prompt and then change the print settings to double-sided.  However, for some reason some employyees aren't getting that prompt anymore.  Therefore, now it simply prints and is costing them twice as much paper since they can't go in and tell it to print double sided before it prints.  This is the only thing they print double sided so I don't want to change the default to that.  I just want to know how to restore that prompt.  Thanks in advance for any help with this issue!

Yes...you see the prompt when it's OK...but you see no confirmation when it is not ok? In this case how can you be sure it is Acrobat rather than one of many other PDF readers?

Are you absolutely sure that Adobe software is handling this? Which version? Do you see any user interface from it when it runs/prints?

It is def. Adobe.  The prompt shows on other user PC's and the prompt says Adobe at the top as the program that is initiating the prompt.  It is Adobe Standard XI I believe.
