Adobe PDF Reader IE11 Add-On causes issues with Exchange 2016 OWA

We upgraded to Exchange 2016 in our environment and afterwards users immediately started complaining about the speed of Outlook Web Access.  After many hours of searching and $$ spent with Microsoft, we isolated the issue to the Adobe PDF Reader Add-On.  If the Add-On is disabled, OWA performs flawlessly.  If the Add-on is enabled, OWA hangs, stutters, freezes and acts a fool.

We use VMWare Horizon 7 with 150 desktops using non persistent VM's.  When we attempt to disable the add-on via IE11, it is still enabled when the VM is spun up for a user.  I suspect the setting is user based.

The VM OS is Win7 Pro 32bit.

I would like to completely remove the ADD-ON from IE11.  Does anyone know how to do that?  I see lots of posts of how to do it with older version of Adobe but not the new DC version.

I've directly submitted a ticket to Adobe weeks ago but they have not responded at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi Godaddy,

Sorry for the delay in response.

There is no particular registry for it. Would you let us know if you still experiencing this issue? Would you let us know the current version of Reader DC installed?

If you already have found a workaround or solution to this problem, please update this discussion with your findings.
