Adobe Pro forces me to use web version when local version installed

I'm using a properly licensed version of Adobe Pro, installed on my local hard drive. When I start it, it forces me to sign into the web version, whereafter I ONLY have the web version. The local version does not appear to be a useable option. Thoughts?
