Adobe Reader 10.1.4 closing after 10-15 seconds

Our Adobe Reader 10.1.4 is closing after 10-15 seconds. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it from Adobe's website. I tried the Repair option. I also tried opening Eula and accepting the license agreement. Most of our users have to use Adobe Reader 10.1.4 and this is becoming a big issue. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Why are you using such an old version?

We have to use that version because our officers use Spillman and it only works with 10.1.4

Are you also using Windows 7 or earlier? If not, you should expect to have issues with Reader.
