ADOBE READER

Hello folks, I attempted to update the reader application on my computer.  The update failed.  One option listed was to uninstall and then re-install reader.  I uninstalled the program and removed traces with CCleaner.  The program does not show up on my computer, yet when I try to re-install reader I get a message, "Newer Version Already Installed on your computer and the installation fails".  Anyone have suggestions?  Thank You!

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately the uninstall tool installed

fine, ran and indicated ADOBE had been removed. I restarted my computer as

instructed. I again attempted to download the reader with the same result

"Newer version already installed" and install failed. Reader does not show

up on my list of programs on my computer, or when I search for programs.

Any other suggestions? I really appreciate the help.

After uninstalling, did you also use the cleaner tool?
