Adobe Reader DC converts text element to bitmaps when printing

Hello,

After the update  v. 2019.008.20071 we are experiencing problems with text getting converted to bitmap-elements. This issue regards special characters such as å ä ö.

When these characters are printed they get converted to bitmaps. This is problem since we are using a systems that depends on catching the printed outpout and then interpret the content of that print.

There are similar problems reported in, for example New Adobe Reader DC- not printing elements . But the fix for that issue doesn´t solve this issue.

Do anyone have any idea how to get around this problem?

Kind regards, thank you in advance

Niklas

Hi Anand

I have updated Reader DC and it has not helped.

When printing you have to print Actual size and no toner saving.

How do I attach a document to a private message? Or do you have an upload page?

We have the same problem here - latest Version of Reader and text get's transformed to images through printing, just as discribed by . As we print plastic cards with film, all images are ignored and the charachters beside A-Za-z are missing. We had many complaints and searched a long time for the reason.

Finally, we had to change to an other PDF Programm, as it did not get fixed after weeks, after working smoothly for years...

Hello!

Thank you for replying.

Sorry for being unclear with our issue. The problem was introduced in update  v. 2019.008.20071, and has been present ever since. We have tried with all the new patches, even the latest that you mention.

We have been doing quite thorough testing with various versions of Windows and versions of Adobe reader dc and we can´t get rid of the problem.

Please let me know it I can add any information that could help an investigation of the issue on your end.

Best regards,

Niklas
