Adobe dark background and white font not available on MacOS. The preference section in Window OS is where you can change the bcakground colour from white to black and change the font from black to white is not included in the adobe reader DC

I am on travel and only using my iPad, but check this thread for Acrobat Pro from 2015 and see if it works in Reader also.
