Adobe Reader DC issue when save as

We have one user who's Adobe reader dc freezes and locks up when the attempt to save an open PDF to their local pc. We are not making any changes just opening and then attempting to save the emailed document. A workaround is to after the document has been viewed ios to go to the email and right-click to save the attachment. This workaround works every time with no issue. but it takes extra steps and time. We have uninstalled, restarted, and reinstalled Adobe reader dc. We have reset the defaults, disabled protected mode at start up and we still have the issue. The user is on Win 10 Pro x64 build 19041  with 16GB RAM with 100 GB Free space on the HDD. The version that is installed is 2020.013.20066. I also have this same version and do not have any issues attempting to save PDF's.
