Adobe Reader DC opening slow on first run on Citrix VDI

We are using the latest version of Reader DC on Windows 10 Citrix VDI's and we have this problem that when user's logon to their VDI and open a PDF file it takes a long time for Reader to open. If they keep reader open the next files opens fast without any problem. We have Protected mode on startup disabled in Ehancded security settings. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem ?
